The Art of Strategic Patience

Since the post-Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, Hezbollah has been one of several entities openly supporting the Palestinians in Gaza. This support has involved forcing the IDF to send its most experienced forces to the northern occupied territories, consequently diminishing their military manpower and resources in Gaza. Despite committing genocide on tens of thousands of civilians, the Zionist regime has not been able to secure the Netzarim corridor, established by the IDF to split Gaza into two halves. In its view, this division would weaken coordination between Hamas and PIJ and, most importantly, allow future access to the Palestinians’ natural gas resources in the Mediterranean Sea.

Moreover, the Yemeni Ansarallah movement’s attacks, primarily targeting the southern city of Eilat, hold significant strategic importance. Initially, many political commentators suggested that Eilat was chosen because Yemeni missiles lacked the range to strike farther. However, the true reason is that Eilat is Israel’s second-largest economic port after Haifa. The Yemeni strategy is clear: an eye for an eye; if you starve the Palestinians, we will impose an economic embargo on your trade ports. Additionally, for years, the Zionist regime has planned to link the Red Sea to the Mediterranean by building the Ben Gurion Canal, either from Eilat to Gaza or near Gaza, according to various plans.1,2,3

Ultimate Collapse or Forced Greater Israel

As previously highlighted in an article on GeoFronts.com, the Zionist regime has failed to achieve any significant military or political objectives. Even its campaign of assassinating top political and military leaders of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran has only served to strengthen the ideology, resilience, and effectiveness of the Axis of Resistance on the battlefield. It has also bolstered their popularity in the international arena, especially among civilians worldwide. Politically, these acts of terror have led many Jewish organizations in Western countries to protest against the Zionist regime, with numerous nations severing ties and recognizing Hamas as a legitimate resistance group defending its people. Additionally, these nations are increasing trade, diplomatic relations, and signing treaties with Iran, the leading force behind the Axis of Resistance.

As tensions escalate towards an all-out war between the Zionist regime and Lebanon, the regime is calling for the return of settlers to the northern occupied territories of Palestine, after they were forced to leave by Hezbollah. On the surface, this appears to be an effort to regain control over the territory. However, the reality is far more complex. As of now, the true intention of the U.S. and its permanent base—the Zionist regime and its settler colony—is to terrorize through ethnic cleansing, creating Zionist settlements, and renaming all the villages of southern Lebanon (Jnoub) in Hebrew. It is for this reason that the U.S. and other European governments are sending warships and other spy planes in its war against Lebanon. A map depicting these intentions was published by Uri Tzadon or ‘The Movement for Settlement in South Lebanon.’4

The movement also held an event addressing these colonial objectives on April 4, 2024. Thus, the real motive behind the ground invasion into Lebanon, which began a few days ago, is not simply to wage war against Hezbollah and remove it. It is to commit yet another genocidal catastrophe, akin to the Nakba of 1948 in Palestine, as well as the ongoing massacre of civilians in Gaza. Hezbollah is the only force capable of stopping this. But are these colonial ambitions of stealing land and creating settlements something new?

The answer dates back to the founder of Zionism, Theodor Herzl, whose vision for Greater Israel stretched from the Nile to the Euphrates rivers.5 These rivers are even symbolized by the two blue lines on the Israeli flag.

The Yinon Plan, attributed to Oded Yinon, was not publicly presented until 1982. It was outlined in an article titled “A Strategy for Israel in the 1980s”, published in the journal Kivunim (Directions), a publication of the World Zionist Organization. The plan proposed a strategy for Israel to ensure regional dominance by encouraging the fragmentation of neighboring Arab states into smaller, weaker entities based on ethnic or sectarian divisions.6 The occupation of Lebanon by Israel, along with the presence of U.S. troops (later driven out of Lebanon by Hezbollah), was part of this plan. This is why U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice traveled to Israel during the 2006 war, calling for a “New Middle East.”7 Essentially, she was pushing for the establishment of Greater Israel and signaling to regional governments to comply in terminating Hezbollah. However, the outcome of the 33-day war in 2006 resulted in a victory for Hezbollah, making it impossible for the U.S. and Israel to annex Lebanese territory once again.

Several years later, the focus shifted to Syria, following the goals of the Yinon Plan. NATO and the Zionist regime helped create the Syrian crisis by exporting Salafi and Wahhabi terrorist groups into Syria with the help of U.S.-aligned regimes such as Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and others. The aim was to fragment Syria into smaller parts, aligning with the objectives of the Yinon Plan. The world even witnessed Israel treating wounded terrorists in its hospitals and later sending them back into Syria with new weapons.8 U.S. troops also dropped weapon shipments for ISIS,9 while other arms were provided to the FSA or Kurds, only to be left for ISIS to collect.10 These actions may seem accidental or fake news, but some U.S. officials have confirmed otherwise. On July 31, 2015, U.S. General Michael Flynn, then-director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the rise of ISIS was the result of a “willful decision” by the U.S. government, implying that support for certain rebel groups had strengthened extremist elements, notably ISIS and Al-Qaeda.11

When the foreign-imposed war on Syria began under the slogan “Assad must go,” many criticized Hezbollah for intervening in Syria to fight Takfiri terror groups—Al-Qaeda, ISIS, FSA, etc.—supported by U.S. and Israeli allies. Hezbollah’s operations resulted in the complete elimination of Takfiri elements from the border areas between Lebanon and Syria. As part of the Axis of Resistance, Hezbollah recognized that the Zionist regime, along with the U.S., created and controlled groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS to eliminate resistance movements in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and even Yemen. The ultimate goal was to expand occupied territories from the Golan Heights into Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. This is why the Axis of Resistance has been fighting off U.S. airstrikes and its Takfiri proxy terror groups from seizing control of the Euphrates River in Syria, particularly along the line from Deir ez-Zour to al-Bukamal. In a CNN interview on February 17, 2015, retired General Wesley Clark acknowledged that ISIS was created by the U.S. to recruit extremist terrorists to fight Lebanese Hezbollah.

The so-called “Deal of the Century,” signed by the Zionist regime, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates under Donald Trump’s sponsorship, is a disguise aimed at expanding the regime’s occupied settlements. The Abraham Accords, normalizing ties with the Zionist regime, are being used as a tool to restore its hegemony with the help of corrupt Arab regimes, encourage the Arab regimes to confront the Axis of Resistance and to push forward the creation of Greater Israel.

Strategic patience of the Axis of Resistance

From my understanding, the only way for the Axis of Resistance to force the Zionist regime to stop the genocide in Palestine and uproot the regime is by keeping it in its current state: stuck in quicksand. They must continue their strategic patience by increasing daily attacks through asymmetric warfare from multiple fronts. This strategy slowly drains the regime’s blood, and it will eventually cease to exist in the near future. Another important aspect is that each time Israel strikes, the Axis of Resistance retaliates with more advanced weapons, targeting deeper into the occupied territories. This approach prevents a full-scale war as it forces the regime to restrain itself. Simultaneously, it cripples the Zionist regime’s most critical military, intelligence, and economic infrastructures. For instance, in the counter-attacks of Hezbollah and the Operation True Promise II on military and intelligence centers and headquarters, the world have witnessed how the defenses of the regime and NATO have collapsed and how sophisticated the military capability of the Axis of Resistance has become.

The driving force of the Axis of Resistance

The third pole, the Axis of Resistance, which began with the Islamic Revolution in Iran, modeled after Imam Hossein(A) and the historic events of Karbala, now stands against the world’s strongest military-industrial complex, hindering their geopolitical annexation of lands. Without a doubt, this ideology of martyrdom is shaping history for at least the next 100 years, envisioning a West Asia free from imperialism and colonialism, and paving the way for a new spiritual world order of peace, stability, and equality for all regardless of nationality, race or religion, in anticipation of the imminent return of Imam Mahdi(AJ) and Prophet Jesus(A).
